A potion for your nervous system. Have a cup to calm your heart, relax your mind, and ease your immune, digestive and respiratory systems. 3 oz bag of herbal tea blend.

This combination is definitely a magical brew for children and adults, the kind of the blend for anything in my opinion.

Let’s break it down:

Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla): has bitter and aromatic properties, so that shows us it has an affinity for the digestive system. It can help relieve any bloating or gas, while also stimulating gastric secretions. Chamomile is also a nervine sedative, so super wonderful for the nervous system and helping ease and relax before sleep. If you have stomach issues because of stress, especially diarrhea, this is the herb for you. Great for all things inflammation-wise regarding the digestive system. It’s cooling, drying, and relaxing.

Catnip (Nepeta cataria): like Chamomile, has bitter and aromatic properties and has an affinity for the digestive system. Can be used for nervous digestive conditions like nausea or “butterflies.” Catnip can relieve pain for teething, if a headache is present, or struggling with cramps, etc. May also ease fever or help take the edge off nerves.

Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis): this herb gently calms the nervous system, and helps with anxiety and can open the heart and quiet the mind. Lemon Balm has antiviral properties. can calm tense muscles in the digestive tract, helps induce perspiration, supports the respiratory system, and may help with cuts and insect bites.

All three of these herbs are so gentle and makes a delicious combination! You’ve got to try this tea for yourself and your family. You’ll use about 1 tsp. herb blend per 8 oz of just boiled water. I like to let mine steep for about 15 minutes. We also enjoy adding a little local raw honey. If making for a teething baby, make a strong tea and use a clean finger to rub on your little one’s gums- make sure it’s cooled down and refrain from adding raw honey if making for a child under 1 years old.
