A Story…
Valley to Rim Wellness has evolved from conversations and consultations with friends, family, and followers about some key herbs, whole foods, or lifestyle habits that can benefit them.
My name is Kylie
I am an herbalist, wellness educator, wild seeker, homebirth and homeschooling momma, camping enthusiast, bone collector, student of the earth, and passionate about incorporating all things nourishing and nutritious into our lifestyle. I am a big believer in following our own intuition and partnering with plants to support us in any situation. I am constantly sharing what I’m learning, recipes that I’ve found, products that I know and love, plus my own makings, so make sure to stick around!
My holistic journey started when I was pregnant with my first daughter and I realized what I consumed and put on my body would affect my developing child. After that, I dove headfirst into all things from the earth and shared what I was learning as I went. I started teaching others how to do the same and built a business sharing the dangers of toxic cleaners and health/beauty products as well as what to use instead.
Growing up and after my divorce, I lived off the highway connecting the Phoenix Valley to the Mogollon Rim that forms the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau in Arizona. I fell in love with the diversity of both areas and the way the biomes transitioned as you drove through the scenery. There is so much magic among the mountains and valleys, so much to explore, so much beauty, and yet these areas are drastically different. This is where my healing and herbal journey started: in this desert, in this forest. This is where I became obsessed with identifying plants and started the habit of carrying 3-5 field guides in my backpack daily.
Valley to Rim Wellness has evolved from conversations and consultations with friends, family, and followers about some key herbs, whole foods, and lifestyle habits that can benefit all of us. On top of that it incorporates my wildcraft findings while exploring, learning more about plants, infusing herbs into what we eat and drink in the home, sharing about nutrient-dense foods, supporting your local meat and dairy farmers, and thriving on a local based, toxin-free lifestyle.
